Beijing is a modern capital with an ancient history. She is celebrated for her attractive natural surroundings, historic sites and cultural monuments. The Olympic Games was held in Beijing in 2008. Meanwhile, with her numerous research institutes, universities and colleges, Beijing is also the scientific and educational center in China.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 11th ICDD, it is my great pleasure to invite all the interested researchers and educators in the international scientific community to join us at the conference in Beijing and share the excitement of good science for the benefit of mankind.

We are looking forward to meeting you in Beijing.
